The First Grade Amigos are ready to run on Jog-a-thon day!
The kinder and first grade class went on a trip to Underwood Family Farms! They had a wonderful time!
Students are playing a fun game of bingo to review their addition facts (sums to 20).

Sometimes we just need a break from the books! That’s when we take out our handy whiteboards and practice our math facts using ten frames!
Students use “Kahoot” on their devices to review important information before their Religion test.
Students love to write in their Writing Portfolios. They write about a new topic each week.
Students are learning the importance of making predictions in our Science lesson. They are predicting how far their ball will roll.
Starting off the school year with art time!
“How did you feel the night before the first day of school?”
They did it! Students harvested the radishes they planted and took them home to add to a healthy meal. They were so proud!
Our first and sixth grade students are working with “Champions of Change” to maintain a community garden at our school. Students planted radish seeds. They’re excited to watch them grow!
This year, our students (Pk4-8th grade) participated in a Reading Fair. Students read their favorite stories at home, then created a storyboard to share the important story elements with their school families. Students did a great job creating and presenting their projects!
This month, students worked with their families to create a collage showing why they are lucky to be a family. Students shared their projects with their classmates and loved talking about why their families are so special.
For Read Across America Day, the first grade class read their favorite Dr. Seuss book with their sixth grade school brother/sister.

Our JV cheer squad, along with a few of the Varsity cheer members, performed and supported the runners at the Bishop Almenay 5K.
Our Kindergarten and First Grade students went on a field trip to the LA Zoo. We all had a blast!

Happy 100th day of school! We are 100 days smarter!
International Day was so much fun! Students performed a dance to “Crocodile Rock” and had a delicious Australian inspired lunch.
As part of our Catholic School’s Week celebration, we had some special guests speak to our students about their careers.
The first grade students have really enjoyed learning about the different kinds of animals that live in Australia. They learned how to draw a kangaroo during a “directed-draw” activity. Their art creations turned out amazing!
During Science, students worked in pairs to brainstorm ways the sun helps our planet. They love collaborating and sharing ideas with their peers!
Our second trimester Enrichment students (K-2nd grade) have been learning the alphabet in ASL. They’ve been doing great!
Students used Skittles during Math to help them gather data and create graphs. Super fun Math activity!
We had a special visit from a very important community helper. Officer O. came to speak to our Kindergarten-3rd grade classes.

The class had so much fun drawing reindeer portraits! They did a great job!
Some of our first grade girls performed a cheer routine (with second grade) for the first time at our pep rally!
Students decorated cookies and made Christmas tree cones during our Christmas party.

The time has come to make the final preparations for Back to School!!! Please remember that the school office will be closed from August 8-17. We will be back on August 18!
